12” tall x 8” wide x 4” deep, this was a special piece for a young lady marrying her Marine on the 243rd birthday of the Corp, November 10, 2018. Hollow throughout to facilitate the easy flow of distilled spirits, detail is the hallmark of glass artist Milon Townsend. Etched continents of the globe, with latitude and longitude lines; finely detailed feathers on the eagle’s wings, and a textured rope wrapped around the anchor all hue truly to the original design. Etched on the base is the slogan “Semper Fidelis”, in an etched banner, together with the date of the wedding, which is the birthday of the Corps.
Available only from the skilled hands of glass artist Milon Townsend, you may consult with him about customizations, other branches of the service, or modifying the scale to a larger level. Cost for this piece is $950.
