Description
This is one of the most complex decanter forms that artist Milon Townsend has undertaken. Each strand joining the twin spirals of the helix is a hollow element with 4 blown spheres, representing the 4 chemical compounds that make up DNA. Male and female figures climb the spiral towards the top, and, wait for it, yes, the entire structure is hollow. Pouring liquid into this sculpture and watching it flow along the spirals and through the strands in the center makes you think of the tiny actions that make up our cells, our very being. Holds 320 ml, 3 glasses of wine, or 8 shots.
